This question is often mentioned amongst web designers and web developers. I only heard this debate rear its head the other day and it all comes down to does the website do what it was built to achieve? This article gives both sides of the debate and hopefully sheds some light on it.

Designing for the mobile web Jan 8th '10
Even as few as 5 years ago, designing websites, which are viewable on mobile phones, was reserved for specialist websites and applications. Nowadays designing a mobile version of your site, or at least a site which looks good on desktops and mobile, is a necessity.

Print designer vs Web designer Dec 18th '09
You would think that a print designer would be able to handle any form of web design and likewise a web designer would be able to come up with a stunning business card design. This may be true but to get the best results you need to have a different designer for your print and web work.

The history of Web fonts Dec 8th '09
Web designers have struggled with fonts on the Web since, well, people began designing websites. We have never had a large selection of native fonts that work across most platforms and the inconsistencies between the ones we do have, are huge. However there is a faint light at the end of the tunnel, which should hopefully solve many of today’s issues.
